Our bridal salon is within an hour’s drive of Richmond, Harrisonburg, Staunton and Waynesboro and a two-hour drive from Metro Washington, DC. Of course, our brides are everywhere, donning their unforgettable gowns for destination weddings, hometown ceremonies and celebrations in favorite places throughout the United States and the world.

As the owner of The One, Peggie’s only rule is: the bride must love her dress. Couple that with her keen sense of style and eye for detail and you have found the perfect guide for your dress shopping journey.
After a successful career in the medical profession, Peggie was searching for something that would allow her imagination, creativity and love of fashion to lead her down a new career path. Only after helping her daughter plan her dream wedding did, the idea unfold: To give Charlottesville a beautiful, elegant yet welcoming bridal salon, with enough beautiful dresses that any bride can find “the one”. “It is hard to call this work,” Peggie says,” I have way too much fun”!

Kelsey Lessick may hold a degree in fashion merchandising, but it’s the magic she loves-the magic of seeing a bride transformed by finding her perfect gown. “It’s especially fun when it’s something I pulled for the bride because I just knew,” Kelsey says. “If you had ever told my six-year-old self that I would grow up to find a job where I get to spend every day listening to love stories, playing with pretty dresses and helping brides feel confident and beautiful, I don’t think I would have believed you”.
